Roger Wolfson recognizes just how important it is today, more than ever, to keep one’s immunity up. With the current state of the world, he mentions that the greatest tool people have going for them against COVID-19 would be having a strong immune system. And the best way to achieve this is to make sure the body is in tip-top shape.

In this blog, Roger Wolfson shares various lifestyle changes people can make to improve their over wellness and keep their immune system strong and healthy.

Roger Wolfson mentions that what people eat has a profound effect on their health and immune system. Science has proven time and again that junk food is not good for the body. It lowers fitness levels and contains countless ingredients that can damage people’s organs. A gradual decrease in the consumption of junk food may not have immediate effects, but it will go a long way in a person’s fitness journey.

Take more vitamin C and D

As far as immunity is concerned, some supplements are better than others. Take, for instance, vitamins C and D, which are both effective in the body’s battle against viruses, COVID-19 included. Upping the intake of these fortifies the immune system. Sources of vitamin C include papayas, berries, oranges, and kiwis; for vitamin D, bath yourself in the early to mid-morning sunlight.

A huge part of his approach involves educating people about proper nutrition. For today, Roger Wolfson asks the question “How does nutrition affect athlete performance?” While it is obvious that sports nutrition plays a significant role in the performance of athletes, in order to maximize its benefits, one has to have a clear grasp of at least the basics of it. For instance, knowing the roles of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats will help a person know the kind of meals he or she needs to prepare when in training and competition. Without enough fluid and carbs, athletes will get exhausted pretty quickly. Without adequate protein, Roger Wolfson explains that athletes’ muscles won’t recover and develop to their full potential. Roger Wolfson is the first to recognize that many false start and failures in weight loss can be attributed to a lack in mental toughness, more than the difficulty of undergoing physical challenges. Here are some motivational cues you can tell yourself when the going gets too tough in your fitness plan. 1. 'Baby steps.' Sometimes you get to a frustration point that makes you feel exhausted just by looking at what seems to be the very daunting task of shedding off 20 or 30 pounds. "Baby steps" is a reminder to take things easy at a gradual pace. Progress can be achieved one step at a time. As Roger Wolfson suggests, even when the steps seem small, remind yourself that you get closer to your goal every time you advance. 2. 'Just one more.' There is such a thing as a saturation point. However, the chances are that the saturation happens in the mind before it does so in the body. Tell yourself to go at it for just one more time. Or this can be ju...
