Retired physical fitness educator Roger Wolfson has been busy the past few months. Even if he doesn't go out much, he still works out at home and writes blogs on fitness and health. He has written and released a series of blogs on all things fitness to encourage people to embrace a fitter and healthier lifestyle, which is important not just in today's world but in the future.

For today's blog, Roger Wolfson looks at the future, when people can go out of their houses again and gather in numbers without fear of getting sick. He gives his insights on how people can encourage their communities to get into fitness.

Roger Wolfson points out how there are countless sports and fitness activities for individuals and families to get into, with all of them providing a fun time for everyone. People can choose to organize family fun runs or pick-up soccer games, or even martial arts and Zumba demonstrations in the park. Roger Wolfson notes that people will naturally see how fitness and groups of people go hand-in-hand.

However, people who want to get others into health and fitness need to face a rather harsh fact -- that not everyone will be willing to get out of bed to join a group event in the same way; not everyone will want to go to a gym to work out. In this case, there needs to be motivation and inspiration. Roger Wolfson says that organizers of fitness events will need to know how to market these events. And they can learn simply by looking at some successful fitness events that have happened in the past.

The best motivational cues to tell yourself when fitness gets tough

Roger Wolfson is the first to recognize that many false start and failures in weight loss can be attributed to a lack in mental toughness, more than the difficulty of undergoing physical challenges. Here are some motivational cues you can tell yourself when the going gets too tough in your fitness plan. 1. 'Baby steps.' Sometimes you get to a frustration point that makes you feel exhausted just by looking at what seems to be the very daunting task of shedding off 20 or 30 pounds. "Baby steps" is a reminder to take things easy at a gradual pace. Progress can be achieved one step at a time. As Roger Wolfson suggests, even when the steps seem small, remind yourself that you get closer to your goal every time you advance. 2. 'Just one more.' There is such a thing as a saturation point. Why weight training is important

Image source: pinterest.com While there are different goals for a fit and healthy lifestyle, physical educator Roger Wolfson believes that to boost overall health and fitness levels, people have to take a holistic approach. This means incorporating different types of training and combining them with proper nutrition. One of these types of training is weight training. Weight training is part of the program which some of the healthiest people on Earth such as pro athletes and fitness gurus use. While Roger Wolfson mentions that cardio workouts are great at building endurance, as well as promoting blood and oxygen circulation throughout the body, he says that weight training does all of those as well, and more. Weight training helps build muscles, which are great for burning fat.
